The Office of Personnel Management has instructed all CFC campaigns to notify charities of their results no later than April 1, 2016. Distributions will begin on April 1, 2017 and continue on a quarterly basis thereafter for recipients with designations of at least $5,000.
Recipients with less than $5,000 in designations will receive a one-time payment based on the amount pledged, less their proportional allocation of campaign administrative costs and estimated shrinkage, as authorized by OPM.
Shrinkage occurs when a federal employee's monthly payroll gift ends prematurely, which might happen in the event the employee cancels the allotment or leaves government service.
